Do you have any idea how much money the bike path cost?

What is the reason for a cycle path?

Do you have any idea how much money the bike path cost?

Now I must begin by stating this definitely is not an “I Hate” campaign, it is really a concern for the welfare of cyclists. As a car user, I must point out that I have certainly used trains, bikes but mainly I have used cars to get me to where I want to be. That is my right; I bought the road tax for them journeys. I also legalize myself in case the awful situation happens where I might crash into a fellow road user. This obligation is referred to as car insurance, another big price that I am forced to pay to use our roadways.

But where am I going with all this? Yes you've guessed. Bicycles! I will say it again I am in know way the two wheel Ice Age gizmo. I am completely aware that it helps save money and also assists in maintaining their fitness. In this eco world we live one day I may have to do my bit and ride a bicycle, and We paid millions in this country to build bicycle tracks over bridges, along ring roads and under bypasses. This was supposed to be cash spent wisely, all the trucks on the road and all the bicycles on the bike lane. But Hang on though though, it isn’t because in this daft land we have no rule that punishes bike riders who go out of their way in not cycling along the cycle track. You must have seen these people, you just start that commute, their is a gridlock of traffic but what’s at the front. A lycra clad superhero on a bicycle on the road just 4m away from the brand new cycle lane. Why does he need to be here? Does he feel he has a place on the road because the bike he is on cost more than some peoples used cars. Is the cycle path to smooth and comfortable and he prefers a bit of bumps on the road through his tiny seat. I am not sure of the answer but If I had to cycle to work on route with a busy multi lane road with trucks and buses on it. Trust me I’d be on that bike track, it’s their so I might as well stay alive.

The cyclist does not pay road tax, so they should not be in my lane slowing me up. He does not pay anyinsurance so if his bike scratches my motor there isn’t a lot I can do due to the fact that I’m not allowed to go after him in my vehicle when he does one and jumps onto the scenic bike lane. So where does that leave us? It leaves us with my big ask. Cyclists I respect you, I have friends who are amongst you, I have once been you. So please respect me back and ride your bicycle on the bicycle lane, not on the road goingover the bridge so that three lanes of cars have to all of a sudden fight into justtwo and cause awful queues. Road tax helped build your own lanes and I want to see them used.
